Ah, yes...That's a bit of a sore subject for me, as I was really excited about it.
Unfortunately, both my literary agent and publisher pulled the plug on it because of how AI has come to be so dominant in the job market since then. As more and more companies use AI not only for resume scanning but also interviews, the behavioral economics component (of which Instant Appeal relies on heavily) become almost non-existent. For Instant Appeal tactics to work, you need exposure to HUMANS at some point in the process. (AI cannot interpret non-verbal cues, nor can it foster trust or build rapport--again, these are key components of behavioral economics.) For context: 82% of companies now use AI to scan resumes, and that is expected to increase to 94% by the end of 2025. Right now 29% of companies use AI for the ENTIRE interview process--from resume scanning to interviews to crafting a job offer to onboarding. And, again, that is expected to double by first quarter 2026. So, that means that nearly two-thirds of jobs will be 100% hired and process by AI. It's such a sad -- and aggravating -- state of affairs in the job market.
Because of all of those stats (which are from a Deloitte report), the publisher pulled the plug and my agent didn't want to shop it around to other publishing houses. I considered self-publishing it, but I don't want to put a book out if it will be ineffective which, it would be, if AI is used in the hiring process.
We had investigated several ways to change the book focus--from only focusing on interviews to not even touching the interview process and focusing the book only on referrals. But, when the publishing company surveyed the market of job seekers, they said they did not have the "luxury" of taking time to do referral networking while looking for a job. Additionally, with the tighter job market, our surveys indicated that fewer and fewer people--even those WITH jobs--were willing to refer anyone because they feared for their own jobs.
damn that’s sad to hear so you not going to publish it as a pdf or something because i feel it has nuggets of truth to it that could be useful in other areas immune to ai like spirituality or whatever you feel me
also when you gonna post some articles and what not because i be jonesing on your stuff your concept of sonification with sound really revolutionised my spiritual journey it reminds me of sentics by mafred clyde you know him
I'm thrilled that you found some of my information valuable to you! Unfortunately, due to my other professional responsibilities, I don't have the time to do one-off PDFs, or similar content. The market just isn't there for it, sadly, at this point-- even for spiritual applications.
how's your book going along
Which book? I've authored a few.
you said you were working on a new book like dealing with work/employment if i remember correctly back in 2024 kindly

mentioning you were working on something of the ilk

The whole thing is mind-boggling.
